our mission: why do we exist?

allFerrets® promotes the Ferret by providing information, referral and education about the Ferrets. allFerrets is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization under US federal law. The explicit purpose of this organization is to conduct charitable, educational efforts, scientific and supportive activities, and more specifically to:
  • To promote the free and public exchange of knowledge and expand the awareness regarding the ferret and other members of the family Mustelidae.
  • To protect the ferret against harm, destruction, or impairment from any endeavor that could lower health, decrease longevity, or species survival potential.
  • To promote the welfare and quality of life of the ferret through support of proper care and husbandry, good breeding practices, and scientifically valid research.
  • To advocate for the open and free acceptance of a ferret as a companion animal, and to protect against any abuse, mischaracterization, or misrepresentation by any person or entity, public or private.
  • To provide the foregoing by education and information dissemination and through example, guidance, and support.

To be successful, we embrace our diversity in our viewpoints, transcending personal agendas, organizational, and geographic boundaries to meet the changing needs of our stakeholders and the animals we seek to promote.
Picture

leadership

Through ongoing innovation and performance monitoring, we aim to represent cutting edge information and policies that educate and promote the practices that enhance the lives of both animals and their human caretakers.
Picture

integrity

For ourselves and others with whom we work and collaborate, we demand the highest ethical standards.
Picture

Professionalism

We strive to maintain a professional demeanor, for continuous improvement in our performance, measuring results, and ensuring that integrity and respect for people are never compromised.

respect for people

To recognize that people are the cornerstone of our success, a source of our strength, and therefore pledge to treat our colleagues, employees, volunteers, members, and collaborators with respect and dignity.
